This week, GoEducate had the privilege of joining a powerful group of community leaders, educators, and nonprofit organizations at the Sacramento K-16 Engaging Youth in Industry event.

Held in the heart of the Sacramento region, the event focused on a topic that hits close to home: making sure students and families across the Greater Sacramento area have real, local access to career and workforce opportunities.

With organizations like Breakthrough SacramentoPro Youth and FamiliesSAYS, and Improve Your Tomorrow leading the charge, the day centered around one important question: How do we make sure young people, and their parents, know what’s possible when it comes to careers in their own backyard?

For GoEducate, the answer starts with a real local connection.

GoEducate's CareerNAV platform is built for regional impact. We’re not just another one-size-fits-all tool; we focus on real opportunities, from real training programs and local employers that students in the Sacramento area can actually pursue. From Elk Grove to Roseville, Citrus Heights to West Sac, we’re working to highlight what’s available now and how students can take action.

At the event, we shared how GoEducate’s CareerNAV platform allows students to:

  • Discover personalized career matches based on their interests

  • Explore training programs and education pathways offered right here in the region

  • Build professional resumes and profiles with AI-powered tools

  • Find internships, apprenticeships, and local jobs, all in one spot

We also heard loud and clear that trusted community-based organizations (CBOs) are vital partners in this work. They’re the ones having real conversations with students and families. By pairing their outreach and support with our localized platform, we can help make career information more relevant, accessible, and empowering.

There’s a growing movement in the Sacramento region to make the workforce visible, not just in words or brochures, but in lived experience. We’re proud to be a part of that effort and grateful to those working alongside us.

A huge thank-you to everyone who made this event possible. GoEducate is committed to supporting the communities of the Greater Sacramento area because when students can see a future that’s local and achievable, they’re more likely to pursue it.

Let’s keep showing them what’s out there!
