This week, GoEducate had the privilege of participating in two incredible events that spotlight the dynamic intersection of education, workforce development, and high-demand industries in Northern California.
May 14, 2025 – Sierra College Mechatronics & Advanced Manufacturing Open House
Hosted on Sierra College’s Rocklin campus, this immersive event opened the doors to the college’s cutting-edge Mechatronics and Advanced Manufacturing programs. Attendees, ranging from high school students to industry professionals, toured state-of-the-art training labs, engaged with expert faculty, and learned about hands-on pathways into some of today’s most in-demand technical careers.
Supported by the Sacramento Valley Manufacturers Association (SVMA) and a network of forward-thinking employers, the Open House created a powerful space for connection and collaboration. Local manufacturers shared real-world insights, while prospective students gained a first-hand look at the skills and opportunities that await them in the modern manufacturing workforce.
May 15, 2025 – CalEPIC Career Fair in Sacramento
The following day, momentum continued at the California Energy Power Innovation Collaborative (CalEPIC) Career Fair in Sacramento, where the focus shifted to clean mobility and advanced manufacturing. This event brought together key players from education, industry, and workforce development, all committed to powering California’s green economy.
GoEducate was on-site, providing AI-driven tools to help job seekers and students explore career pathways, build professional resumes, and connect with relevant training programs and job opportunities through its CareerNAV platform.
Industry giants like Rivian, Bosch, and Siemens were present, offering a glimpse into emerging technologies and career paths in clean energy and sustainable transportation. Meanwhile, the Sacramento Employment and Training Agency (SETA) and San Juan Unified School District highlighted the growing importance of early exposure and alignment between K–12 education and future workforce needs.
Our Takeaway
